Pailin Province – Cambodia

Pailin, the capital city is Pailin, located in western Cambodia and northern edge of the Cardamom Mountains, about 25 km from the frontier of Thailand. This region is encircled by Battambang area, and was authoritatively cut out from Battambang to turn into a different managerial division after the surrender of the Khmer Rouge in 1996. The most attractions places in Pailin, including picturesque mountains, waterfalls, and the large area of lush bamboo. Pailin Peacock Dance​ is the most well known and popular by Cambodia people with happy and fun performances by male and female peacock។

 Another intriguing places for tourist is Wat Rattanak Sorphon, a Burmese style pagoda that is over 570 years of age. This pagoda is proof of early Burmese settlement here. For sure, the Burmese were the first to find the valuable pearls and gems in this area. Pailin turned to be the biggest center for mining  such as, sapphires and rubies. Phnom Yat has attracting spots where tourists can view the natural landscape and see the activities of gems mining by local people.
